About this deal

The additional costs of aftermarket tips and cable may also strip the BL03 of its “★★ value” after it is factored into the total price of the resulting setup. Compared to the Tin Hifi T3, which retails for about double what the BL-03 does, the BLON‌‌ IEM‌ matched up very well. Just like a pair of speakers, which one you would prefer over the other is probably based on what you put the priority on as a listener. The cable is a little above average, but it has a tendency to get a bit of shape due to its unique plastic coating. The pair features a powerful combination of a 10mm carbon diaphragm dynamic driver and a 6mm lightweight micro dynamic driver with a precise electronic crossover to ensure a high-quality output with low distortion and high clarity. Thankfully the nozzle is extended and they come with longer than the usual ear tips so I was able to get a proper fit with a tight seal that helped with noise attenuation.

The second half is slightly compensated for and the gain of the bell emancipates the female voices and brings a degree of clarity and cleanliness, but pushes the first half even further away. There is a steep rise and this contrast disturbs a quiet, calm listen, as balance and equilibrium are lost. On the one hand there is a bass stage that can become massive and then a high mid-high and early treble enhancement. The sensation of hollowness can become apparent. They come in two colors, one being silver, and the other which I have, is called brown, even though it comes across as a pewter color to me. It reminds me a lot of the Drop+ JVC HA-FWX 1 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a budget friendly alternative. The BLON BL-03 are shaped like drops, with the summit hosting the 2-pin connector for the cable. The shells are entirely made of metal; they have a shiny, polished finish that make them appear chrome-plated. They’re basically chrome drops! They look oddly (and a bit unsettlingly) organic, as they only have curved lines and surfaces. I wouldn’t deem them out of place in a modern art museum (but that’s possibly also because of my poor understanding of modern art).

Premium audio does not need you to break the bank anymore. Meet the BLON BL-03 in-ear monitor. This earphone uses a 10mm dynamic driver with a solid build and high-end detachable cable. The Astrotec Vesna are a neutral bright set, easier to drive and with less bass than the E3000. Though the Vesna have less bass quantity, the bass is cleaner and tighter. The Vesna have a thinner note weight and poorer technicalities (imaging, instrument separation and soundstage). Both sets are smooth and lush, and the Tanya can perhaps be viewed as a baby Final Audio E3000. Vs. Astrotec Vesna

It is not very sparkling, not too extended nor the most refined and clear sounding but detail retrieval is not missing. Honestly, it’s amazing how well the BL-03 hold up against earphones costing even almost 20 times as much. The differences are there, however, and they’re undeniable. Final Thoughts

The BLON BL-03 are probably good for every genre out there, but bass-heavy genres are just too much fun. These will probably be my go-to earphones for electronica. BLON BL-03 Comparisons The E3000 are mid-bass centric, and sub-bass extension isn’t the best, with a significant roll-off.

Detachable cables allow you to swap out different kinds of cables. These can feature materials that make a difference to the sound signatuThe first part of the mids is perceived as relatively distant. The body of the male voices and instrumentation in this area is lighter and thinner. This has an impact on the appreciation of texture and details/matices in them. The rendering is simpler and flatter, with little three-dimensionality. The best thing remains the timbre, which feels very appropriate and natural. The sinking of this area is evident when the musical passages have bass, also the first treble predominates over this area. The result is an impoverishment of this first half, in an IEMS whose tuning in comparison to previous models should improve in this area. And this has not been the case. My assessment in this respect is critical: having to turn up the volume to perceive the closeness of the mids is not a solution when the bass remains in the room for a long time. So I am disappointed to have found this initial gap, even though the price level is so low. I am actually impressed with the mids of the BL-07 considering it is a bassy IEM, then again I cannot vouch that this is a bass heavy IEM which explains why the midrange still has good tonality. One of the reasons headphones and earphones in India are more expensive than overseas is because of the Goods & Services Tax in India.

I think that this was an exceptionally fair review, and there was perhaps no need to be so concerned about stoking people’s feelings. But is its tonal balance enough for me to overlook its shortcomings in technical performance? I’d argue no to that. But on that note: is its tonal performance enough to distinguish itself from being simply “average”? Certainly. The BL-Max has more quantity in the lows. It has a louder rumble and slightly longer decay in the subbass. Midbass also has more weight and more boomy in the BL-Max. Meanwhile, the BL-07 has better depth, texture and control. With the mids, the BL-07 has way better transparency, has more air, and sound more natural than the sometimes nasal and boxy sounding mids of the BL-Max. The BL-07 also has more details, sparkle, and longer decay in the highs. Cymbals and lead guitar sound livelier and more energetic. In terms of the soundstage, the BL-07 is wider and taller. Instruments are separated better and imaging is much clearer in the BL-07. Every time you reach for earphone/IEM cables to connect them to your earphones/IEM, no matter how neatly you "wrapped" them up, they end up in a giant Gordian knot of frustration. Tangled cables are the bane of modern existence, and everyone owning a wired pair of earphones/IEM can attest to this. CARBON DIAPHRAGM DYNAMIC DRIVER: Blon Bl03 IEM is equipped with 10mm Carbon diaphragm dynamic driver, which is designed to enhance the sound quality by reducing the mid-low frequency drum point and providing a more powerful and dynamic bass experience. The carbon diaphragm is lightweight yet rigid, allowing it to vibrate more efficiently and accurately, resulting in improved sound clarity and detail. The Final E3000 have a machined stainless steel silver finish, and are a bullet-shaped IEM that are meant to be worn cable down. BLON persists with the idea of a soft V-profile, trying to stretch the extension of the treble, although it remains soft, with a point of clipping due to a clear drop before the air region. The mids feel moderately delayed in front of the bass and first treble, which impoverishes the overall tuning result.
